“The meaning of life is to live a meaningful life”

Here’s a thoroughly worthwhile way to spend 15 minutes of your time. It’s Kati van der Hoeven’s advice for getting the best out of life.

Kati, who’s a long-standing friend of our CEO Dr Mick and an Honorary Vice-President of SpecialEffect, is paralysed and unable to speak following a stroke when she was twenty. She’s winner of the JCI Finland young achiever award, an exceptionally talented eye-gaze technology user and the author of ‘Living Underwater: A true story of laughter, love, hope and happiness in the face of extreme adversity.’

Filmed in 2016, the messages in this engaging TedxTurku talk are as relevant today as they were then and cover seven powerful principles that have shaped and guided Kati’s own life.
