We’re looking forward to highlighting our EyeMine software in Japan this month as part of our collaboration with the National Videogame Museum (NVM) at the World Expo 2025.

The NVM has partnered with the UK Pavilion at the Expo, which takes place in Osaka, Japan from 18 July 18 to 24 July, and we’re grateful to the museum for this opportunity to feature EyeMine as an interactive exhibit. The software enables those with a physical disability to play Minecraft using eye tracking technology.

“We’re delighted to have such a prestigious opportunity to demonstrate how accessibility in games can engender inclusion, creativity and enjoyment,” said Dr Mick Donegan, SpecialEffect’s Founder and CEO. “We hope that by giving visitors to the expo the opportunity to try this example of ground-breaking inclusive technology themselves, they will gain an insight into how people across the globe can now enjoy gaming to the best of their ability.”

The museum’s showcase – titled Videogames Transforming Lives – will feature a selection of curated games through which the museum intend to demonstrate the creativity in the UK’s gaming industry, including titles such as PowerWash Simulator and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. There will also be a hands-on immersive experience featuring imagery from Ustwo’s Monument Valley.

Many thanks to the National Videogame Museum for the opportunity to attend and participate in the World Expo 2025.
