A big thank you and good luck to our team of 19 runners who are taking to the streets of Oxford and Cambridge for their half marathons this coming Sunday!

It’s a hard task to choose the better route between these two rival University cities, with lovely flat streets that make both perfect opportunities for first time runners, or for our seasoned runners to get a personal best! Setting off on Sunday as part of Team SpecialEffect are Viktor Tomcsenki, Johnny Page, Bob Young, Mollie Huckin, Michael McGuire, Chris Keatin, Torin Elmhirst, Nick Tannahill, Francesca Topp, Joe Wade, Maciej Lulka, Freddie Greatrex, Melissa Dickson, Kellie Saunders and Tom Watt.

Our good friends and local Oxfordshire business Shaw Gibbs are supporting the event with two runners taking part – Silva Romagosa and Nik Ioannidis. And last but not least are two of our London Marathon runners, SpecialEffect’s own Nick Streeter and our ambassador Jim Jagger. We hope their legs have recovered from the marathon in the capital just two weeks ago!

We’d like to wish all our runners the very best of luck for Sunday – we’re looking forward to cheering you on and seeing all your race day photos! We massively appreciate such amazing support for these events, and all the money raised makes a huge difference to the lives of the severely disabled people we work with. If you’d like to support our runners, you can donate through this JustGiving page.
