The UK games industry and friends will take on the Anfield Abseil on 22 September in aid of SpecialEffect’s annual One Special Day campaign!

Companies and studios from across the games industry including Sony Playstation, Lucid Games, Wushu Studios, Criterion Games, Escape Technology, Ripstone, Secret Mode, Playdemic, VTime, NDreams, Amiqus, Press Engine and Xbox will be abseiling 100ft off the main stand at the iconic Anfield Football Stadium to raise vital funds to help us support gamers with disabilities.

Joining the abseil will also be Liam from SpecialEffect who, as a Manchester Utd fan, has pledged to wear a Liverpool FC shirt if his fundraising hits £500!

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Electronic Arts for being our major sponsor and to Lucid Games and Wushu Studios for their help in organising! Thank you also to Sola Kasali & James Taylor at Electronic Arts along Stephanie Murphy, Sarah May, Luke Hyland and team at Liverpool Football Club for their support in helping make the event possible.

This initial event is open to members of the UK games industry event. We are are down to our last couple of places (available on a first come first served basis) and we will have a waiting list! Please do contact Nick.Streeter@specialeffect.org.uk or Liam.Lawler@specialeffect.org.uk for more details.
