A huge thank you to all the amazing companies, communities and individuals who made this year’s One Special Day fundraising campaign so memorable. Gamers and the worldwide gaming industry came together in a display of incredible unity and support to enable us to help people enjoy the magic of gaming!

Originally based around a single donation day in October, our One Special Day fundraising campaign has expanded over the years to encompass a wide variety of events across the summer.

This year the excitement started in July with dedicated donations of over £17k from the fabulous celebration party at the Develop Conference in Brighton. August saw 24 teams from the games industry raise £63k in a marathon 24-hour football match at St Georges Park, home of England’s national teams, and the September sun shone on 300 One Special Walkers from across the UK and beyond as they took on the challenging treks in London and Liverpool, raising over £145k.

Our headline One Special Day game sale promotions launched in October, and we’re indebted to more than 50 worldwide partners for their donations of UK profits from via the One Special Day Mobile Promotion, the One Special Day Sale on Steam, and additional vital bundles, streams, promotions and staff fundraising initiatives. We’ll be bringing you news of the totals raised very soon.

We simply can’t thank the One Special Day community enough. The support of the partners and players enables us to help the thousands of physically disabled people every year who ask for our assistance. It enables our teams of therapists and technical specialists to provide advice, assessments and customised technology loans to help transform the lives of individuals with disabilities. And in turn, it enables us to freely share what we learn with the games industry to help make their products and games easier to use for as many people as possible all over the world.
