A huge thank you to NatWest for supporting us through sales of the expansion pack for their Island Saver game. In the last year it’s resulted in total donations of nearly £75,000, a huge boost to our work in transforming the lives of physically disabled people right across the world through the innovative use of technology.

The UK charities SpecialEffect and Young Money are beneficiaries of the game, which has been developed by Stormcloud Games. It’s NatWest’s first ever educational video game which harnesses children’s enthusiasm for video games as an opportunity to teach them about money management.

The core game, available for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam for PC, is free to download and there are no in-game purchases. The ‘Dinosaur Island’ expansion pack can be bought for £4 and net proceeds generated from the sale of the expansion packs will be donated to Young Money and SpecialEffect. NatWest will not receive any profit from the sale of the expansion packs.

Tom Donegan, Fundraising and Communications Team Leader at SpecialEffect, said, “We get to see the positive impact of gaming every day through our work helping people with physical disabilities to enjoy the magic of video games. We’re delighted to be a beneficiary of this innovative new project and want to take this opportunity to thank Natwest and Stormcloud for their support.”
