Ubisoft announce charity partnership

Ubisoft Reflections and Ubisoft Leamington make SpecialEffect their Charity Partner

It’s great to receive some good news in these unusual and challenging times. We’re incredibly happy to announce that our friends at Ubisoft Reflections and Ubisoft Leamington have chosen SpecialEffect as their charity partner.

The two AAA development studios, who have worked on some of the world’s most popular video game franchises such as The Division, Assassins Creed, Watch Dogs, Far Cry and Ghost Recon, have supported SpecialEffect for many years; but wanted to formalise the partnership at this critical time.

The news couldn’t be more welcome here at SpecialEffect and our Founder and CEO, Dr Mick, is understandably delighted:

"At a time when we are all getting used to a ‘new kind of normal’ it’s wonderful that some things remain the same and that’s the fantastic support SpecialEffect receives from the games industry."

"Ubisoft Reflections and Ubisoft Leamington’s formalising of their relationship with SpecialEffect has given our team here a massive morale boost at exactly the right time. We can’t thank the two studios enough and look forward to supporting them in their fundraising over the coming months."

Ubisoft Reflections and Ubisoft Leamington Managing Director, Richard Blenkinsop added:

“We’ve been supporters and advocates of SpecialEffect for a long time now, so it’s fantastic to finally announce them as a charity partner."

“Video games have such a unique ability to bring people together from every walk of life from all over the globe, and everyone should be able to experience that."

“That’s why we wanted to partner with SpecialEffect. We want to help ensure video games are fun, inclusive, and accessible and allow everyone to play to the best of their abilities.”

Thanks so much to Ubisoft Reflections and Ubisoft Leamington. It’s so good to have these two key members of the Ubisoft family support our work and we look forward to seeing you all and working together as soon as we’re able to!
