​“It is such a wonderful day for her!!!”

Dr Mick and a couple of our team were in the US last week and they took the chance to catch up with Keren, a fantastic young eye-gaze user who Mick’s supported for several years as a result of his academic role at OCAD University in Toronto.

Keren and her family visited SE Towers a couple of years ago and Dr Mick introduced her to Eye Can Fly, a gaze-controlled game that she loved. Since then she’s bought her own eye-controlled computer for communication and play, so last week Dr Mick worked with her to bring more eye-controlled games to life, including the ones on our fledgling Eye Gaze Games website and of course Minecraft, using our EyeMine software!

“Keren loves Minecraft!!!!!” Her mum tweeted later. “She can’t stop playing!!! It is such a wonderful day for her!!! Thanks so much for making it possible!”

Keren can now control her computer so well, she used it to speak to the Dalai Lama recently!
