“It is such a wonderful day for her!!!”

Dr Mick and a couple of our team were in the US last week and they took the chance to catch up with Keren, a fantastic young eye-gaze user who Mick’s supported for several years as a result of his academic role at OCAD University in Toronto.

Keren and her family visited SE Towers a couple of years ago and Dr Mick introduced her to Eye Can Fly, a gaze-controlled game that she loved. Since then she’s bought her own eye-controlled computer for communication and play, so last week Dr Mick worked with her to bring more eye-controlled games to life, including the ones on our fledgling Eye Gaze Games website and of course Minecraft, using our EyeMine software!

Below: Keren impresses Dr Mick with her eye-control skills

“Keren loves Minecraft!!!!!” Her mum tweeted later. “She can’t stop playing!!! It is such a wonderful day for her!!! Thanks so much for making it possible!”

Keren can now control her computer so well, she used it to speak to the Dalai Lama recently!
