BubbleBoy immortalised as Starbeard character
Sam, a young boy with leukaemia, is about to have his superhero creation BubbleBoy immortalised as a Starbeard game character thanks to a wonderful gesture by the team at Jolly Good Games.
We’re currently helping Sam to be at school ‘virtually’ through a small telepresence robot. His compromised immune system means he has to stay at home, but he can interact with his teachers and classmates from the safety of his house through his classroom robot.
Sam, a talented cartoonist, created a comic strip superhero character called BubbleBoy; enclosed in a bubble by day, saving the world by night. When Jolly Good Games heard about BubbleBoy, they immediately wanted to have him as a character in their Starbeard mobile game.
We’re so happy that Sam’s talent and Jolly Good Games’ inspiration have come together in such a brilliant way. What’s more, they’ll be donating a percentage of the profits from the sales of BubbleBoy to support our work. Total superheroes!
