Retro gaming sessions in Aberdeen

News of a new retro gaming session being run in association with Aberdeen Action on Disability. It's called RetroFest

This Scottish social gaming group meets on the second Saturday of every month. They tell us: "While it is open to everyone, whether they have disabilities or not, it takes place on a Saturday so that people with disabilities who may otherwise find themselves in isolation during the weekend can have something to do. Even though we've only had two sessions at the time of writing, it has already been of help to one of the attendees. We have consoles from the 1980s to the early 2000s from Nintendo, Sega, Sony and Microsoft, and a ZX Spectrum. We also have a network of Windows 98 PCs for fans of retro PC games."

They also plan to expand the session to include a range of accessible gaming equipment. If you run or know of any social accessible gaming groups, please do drop us a line.
