Rain-drenched fundraisers raise £4K

Stunning effort in the rain yesterday as the first ever SpecialEffect Oxford Half Marathon team ran/swam around Oxford to raise vital funds for us to help young people with disabilities have fun and freedom.

Not all of the team were able to make it for this team photo beforehand, but we'd like to say a massive thank you to Mike Gale, Martin Hayes, Neil O'Regan, Peter and Lynn Searle, Neale Hayes, Paul Soper, Mark Lyne, Mike Warner, Ben Priest, Andy Dunn, Liam and Kath Faulkner, Dom Reilly and all their supporters. Also a big shout out to Brian Mitchell who was stranded in Manchester with work but did a 13 mile run there.

We're delighted to announce that just over £4K has been raised by our team which is fantastic and will be put to good use this week with support visits to the children and young people we help.

Already three members of the team were muttering about signing up again for next year... this time in flippers.
