Nick Streeter and the London Marathon
OK, this is a more of a personal post about our Fundraiser Nick Streeter. Anyone who's met him will know how his infectious enthusiasm and sense of humour can illuminate any occasion. He's one of the hardest workers I've ever had the privilege to meet, and is a true friend to many, many people, including all the staff here. He's been waving the flag with gusto for SpecialEffect since the charity started six years ago, and this weekend he's running the London Marathon for us.
Nick, let's say, is not the world's most natural athlete, but he's blown our derision away by sticking rigidly to his training regime over the past few months through rain and driving snow. He's a self-confessed pie-eater and vegetable-hater, but he's changed his diet and given up his beloved Guiness completely in preparation for the run.
He's not looking forward to it. He wishes it were over already. But he's going to give it his best shot which, knowing Nick, will be 120%
