Freddie’s ready for action again!

Muscular dystrophy had begun to limit Freddie’s gaming skills and endurance, so he came over to our games room recently to see if there was a way he could start playing his FPS favourites like Destiny 2 again for longer without his hands tiring, and to sort out an alternative way of using the left and right stick clicks on a PS4 controller.

The setup that’s got Freddie back up to speed has two head switches that replicate L3 and R3 via an adaptor and switch interface, and an adapted PS4 controller with lighter springs in the sticks.

It means the fun doesn’t stop before he really gets started!

“I’m getting on really well with the adaptions,” he said. “I can play games I thought I’d never play again and I’ve been playing on a daily basis. Thank you so much!”

Below: Freddie with his adapted controller and button head switches. The extra red finger switch makes accessing menus faster and easier.
