David takes on the classics with hand/foot combo

David, who lost an arm through road traffic accident, loves the one-hand and foot control combo we created for him a while ago so he could enjoy driving games. He recently got back in touch to ask if we could help him roll back the years to master some games inspired by his Wii days, like Donkey Kong.

Although his control setup is great, he was finding a few games a bit too complex to just plug in and enjoy, so he wanted to know if another console might be worth trying.

Our therapists Nomi and Frankie suggested a Nintendo Switch, and they made sure he was able to keep his existing one-handed controller through some nifty remapping and doubling-up of the controls courtesy of an XAC.

It gave David all the controls he needed for Spyro, and with the help of his foot switches for triggers he can take on all the games we left for him, including SEGA Mega Drive Classics and Fitness Boxing!

It’s fantastic to be able to help David broaden his gaming horizons with some classic titles!
