Brad's tongue-in-cheek gaming skills

You've got to admire Brad for his cheek. He’s not letting his muscular dystrophy stop him enjoying the games he loves, and for a while he's been using a chin-controlled joystick with a few small lip switches to play. Now we've added a cheek switch so he can get even more out of his gaming!

It's a lever switch next to his cheek that he moves with his tongue from inside his mouth. It’s all part of a custom gaming setup that we’ve worked out for him that also includes some small, carefully-placed switches that he can move with some of his fingertips. They mimic the remaining controls he needs for bossing the more complex games he wants to play on his PS4, especially Warhorse Studios' Kingdom Come: Deliverance. He’s looking forward to the challenge of mastering the battles in this RPG with his extra in-game ability!

It’s thanks to YOU that our teams are able to travel the length and breadth of the UK to visit and help gamers who need our support. All the crafty control setups we work out, all the specialised support we give and all the equipment we loan is provided free of charge. That’s why your donations, large or small, really do count!

Below: Brad's cheeky lever switch (ringed) is part of the mouth-operated element of his gaming control setup.
