Becky and Barrie at the GAconf Europe

“It’s changed the way my friends see me and interact with me.” Watch our Ambassador Becky Tyler talking about eye-controlled computer and gaming access during the closing talk at GAconf Europe that took place earlier this month. Run by the Game Accessibility Special Interest Group of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA GASIG) the conference covered a wide range of talks on game accessibility, all of which you can catch up on here.

Becky, who’s been a key player in the development of our EyeMine software, gave a fascinating insight into her own gaming journey and offered practical observations about how games could be made more accessible for eye gaze players.

By way of contrast Barrie Ellis, who has worked for us part-time as a Technical Specialist for many years, revealed an insight into the earliest days of accessible computing back in the 1970s, giving deserved credit to the influence and breakthroughs of some of the pioneers of accessible computing.

Check out all the talks from the two-day conference, including contributions from Microsoft, King, Sony and Ubisoft.
