Amazing splash of equine colour from Tim

Here's Tim and his latest eye-popping show jump design!

His motor neurone disease means he can’t use a pencil and ruler any more to design his jumps, but we’ve introduced him to a nifty piece of assistive software called Splash that lets him use a computer in a way that matches his abilities.

“I’ve had motor neurone disease for nine years now,” he said. “I was a keen show jumper, but now I spend my time designing and making show jumps with my carers. There’s a big annual charity horse show in Jersey, and this year we made a jump with one side dedicated to the MND Association and the other for Jersey Hospice Care.”

It's been an honour to support Tim over the last five years through our StarGaze project. As his needs and abilities have changed, we've had the honour of helping him to carry on using his computer to do all kinds of things from designing jumps, keeping in touch with family and friends, shopping online and supporting his communication.

Nice one Tim - the horses aren't going to miss this jump!
