A shift of the shoulders gives Eleanor the perfect level up

Eleanor has Morquio Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that affects her bones, spine and physical abilities. It makes using the shoulder buttons on her PS4 controller really tricky in some of her favourite games, like pressing all four at the same time in The Sims, or two together in The Last of Us.

Our therapists Joe and Jacob suspected that making Eleanor’s setup more compact would begin to help, so they started by swapping in a Hori Mini Controller. They mapped out the shoulder buttons to small switches that sit alongside her controller, and carefully positioned the new adapted setup on a Logitech flexible tray that sits perfectly over the arm of her sofa.

Eleanor can now press the controls she needs far more easily, and by the look of her smile she’s absolutely loving the level up!
