I followed the guffaws of laughter into our games room yesterday to find six year-old Elliott playing the Xbox for the first time. He's a fantastic lad with a magnetic personality who lacks the kind of hand or arm control needed to use a mouse, keyboard or games controller. But he can certainly create games mayhem with a special joystick and a couple of large button switches.
After warming up with some early levels of Plants and Zombies, he was absolutely rocking Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed! Top stuff, young man.
Looks like Mum and Dad might have a few extra items on the Christmas list as well this year. His Mum contacted us this morning - he's saying now needs a joystick from Father Christmas along with a special drum kit to play along with the Ting Tings! He's already told his headmaster all about his visit to us yesterday, and he's asked the School Council to agree to an after-school computer club. They said yes!
"The mind boggles what they'll get up to," said mum Caroline. "but it’s great for him to be able to do that."
"We don’t know what we'd have done without SpecialEffect. It’s great for Elliot to be able to play games and have access to the technology and to do normal, everyday things."
If you support @SpecialEffect in any way, then THIS is the kind of thing you're helping to make possible!
