This month’s BIG STORY!! The London Marathon – SpecialEffect will see our first runners at the London Marathon. Martin Hayes and Barrie Ellis since taking on the challenge have both worked incredibly hard not just with their training and fundraising but as ambassadors for SpecialEffect. Please show your support for Barrie www.justgiving.com/kneecruncher and Martin www.justgiving.com/mazza-marathon. SpecialEffect’s Director Mick Donegan will be supporting the runners alongside their families so if you’re in the area on Sunday give him a ring or spot him in a SpecialEffect shirt!

Project Updates

Stargaze

The Stargaze project continues to support new and existing Stargazers throughout the country and locally with one of our latest being from Banbury. Lewis Jeynes one of SpecialEffect’s young Stargazers Mother is showing her support this July by running the London British 10K with two friends. They have already got stuck into the fundraising and promoting SpecialEffect and the Stargaze project up in Doncaster, we are so grateful for their enthusiasm and help.

GameOn4Everyone

SpecialEffect are now touring the Thames Valley with the Roadshow project. Visiting younger groups with more complex needs under this year’s project is proving extremely beneficial to the work done by our research and development team. Not only is GameOn4Everyone helping the young people we visit on the Roadshows, other projects such as the Gamebase project and Game for Helen are reaping the rewards from the research.

Walk4Matt

One month away today! Walk4Matt 2010 promises to be bigger and better than ever with all the twelve Premiership Clubs and various Rugby Legends involved and backing the walk. Even Hollywood has got in on the act with Kiefer Sutherland spotted in London wearing a Walk4Matt wristband. For more details on how you can get involved visit www.walk4matt.org

Amsterdam Marathon
